Gurdwara Sikh Cultural Society Richmond Hill, New York.

By the grace of the one, absolute, manifest eternal creator, without fear or ill-Will, timeless being, we, the Sikhs, assembled at the Gurudwara at Richmond Hill, New York, organized as per the ethics of Sikhism, ordained by the Ten Sikh Gurus and enshrined in the holy Guru Granth Sahib and propagated by the Khalsa Panth (worldwide Sikh brotherhood) hereby resolve to constitute a religious, social, educational, cultural and charitable society, to be known as The Sikh Cultural Society Inc. (hereinafter referred to as the “Society”) and to preserve and uphold the doctrines and the code of the Khalsa Panth and to dedicate ourselves, and our Society, to live and to carry out the business of the Society in keeping with Sikh practices and with the tradition of sewa (disinterested service) as our motto, so that the whole of society may benefit; and, for such purposes, and with humble awareness of the limitations of human effort, and thanksgiving for the grace of Akal Purakh (Almighty God) by which such limitations may be transcended, do hereby adopt, enact, give and deliver to ourselves this Constitution.
